This is an exploration of both found and concrete/visual poetry. It is part of a larger series I am working on to try and interpret Marshall McLuhan’s book Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man.
While the source text remains the same, it is formatted into Morse code, an outdated and primarily sound based technology. It is further obscured by a slightly shifted and translucent section of identical code. By translating the sentence into this format, the written word transforms into a more obvious sequence yet is no longer quick or implicit when read or spoken.
